Catch Up Funding

Following the Covid-19 pandemic and resulting lockdowns, the Government announced an additional funding stream for all schools known as the 'catch up premium'. For primary schools, this is £80 per pupil for the 2020/21 academic year meaning Wheatfield received £33,120 based on having 414 pupils on role at the time.

The school must spend its 'catch up premium' in line with guidance set of by the DfE and must also report how it is using the funding to support educational recovery. This page provides details of our 'catch up strategy' as well as a link to the associated DfE guidance.

If you have any questions about our approach or intentions then please feel free to contact us.
