Aviva Community Fund

The Friends submitted a bid to the Aviva Community Fund in September, detailing a vision for a new Multi-Use Games Area (MUGA) for our school. We are so excited to announce that our proposal has been accepted to go through to the National voting rounds! But we need your help...

If Wheatfield gets enough votes from friends, family and supporters, our project could make it to the finals, where judges will award £25,000 to begin work!

The MUGA would be located at the top of the school field – an area which is prone to water logging and therefore out of use for most of the school year. It will measure 24 x 12 meters (roughly the same size as our school hall) and can be used all year round
. Even with the MUGA in place, we would maintain a large field area to mark a full football pitch on. The MUGA is the perfect space for a variety of games - football, netball, hockey, basketball, cricket and so much more. The special surface allows children to play safely with minimal injuries. See the plans below.

Its easy to vote! CLICK HERE! to register. You will be given 10 votes to use, but only between 23 October - 20 November. Please help us by spreading the word and asking friends, family, work colleagues, clubs and communities to get behind this amazing project to support our school!

Voting is only open from 23 October - 20 November. Please help us and vote today!

Plan view of the proposed MUGA
